3 Unmissable Spring Wardrobe Updates

The flowers are beginning to bloom…

One day the sun is splitting the trees while the next day, it’s snowing; all of this can only mean one thing…

Spring has finally sprung! 🌸😊👏

And here at Mostly Mum HQ, we’re more than a little excited about that little seasonal development, as a new season calls for a sparkly new wardrobe, or…, at the very least, a wardrobe update! 💗

So, without further ado, we’ll dive right into a run-down of the top three trends of the season… 💓

1. The Bright

Bright bursts of colour popping shades seem to be everywhere this spring. From neon emblazoned footwear to candy-coloured earrings, there is just no escaping it (hard as we traditional colour-phobes might try! 😳).

Even though I have recently lost all my extra baby weight (for all the juicy details, click  👉 3 Real Ways to Reach those Weight Loss Goals  ), I still struggle to let go of my never-fails-to-flatter black uniform.

However, a recent rummage through one of my favourite vintage designer stores (@dynastydressagency) converted me to the delights of designer brights when I decided, completely on a whim, to slip into a pair of bright green suede Jimmy Choo boots…

And for as little as £39, those bright green beauties were mine, all mine! 💗

Teamed with all black and a bright floral background, I’m feeling a whole lot less self-conscious than I probably should 😊

Then there is the fact that every shop on the high street seems to be stocking those multicoloured, oversize perspex earrings we all wanted back in the ’80s…

(Or, was that just me? 🤔😁)

I was a bit too young to go all out Dynasty the first time around so, this time, I’m fully committing with a bright pop of pink perspex…

And lemon and leopard print from my perennial fave, Primark! ❤️❤️❤️

Who needs spring sunshine when you have a great pair of sunshiny new earrings to brighten your day?! 🤩

2. The Bold

Miranda, the fashion maven from The Devil Wears Prada, might have scoffed at springtime florals, but not me…

Because the only florals I’ll be wearing this spring will be in the background! 😉

Bold animal prints, leopard, or…

I might have made my weight loss goals but I am not getting off that wellness train anytime soon! 😊 I am determined never again to fall into the yo-yo dieting trap of old! Instead, I am concentrating on developing a real love affair with irresistible superfoods, like my latest fave matcha – a special form of green tea and a powerful disease-fighting antioxidant! 💓 And when your wellness journey takes you to super cute cafés like @matchaandbeyond, what’s not to love about a brand spanking new healthy lifestyle?! ☺️💗 . #momblogger #fashionblogger #ootd #cafestyle #cafesofinstagram #wellnessblogger #wellnessmotivation #goalslayer #wwgoldmember #ww #matcha #matchalatte #matchacafe #matchaandbeyond #chanel #celine #hm #serengelboutique #jimmychoo #dynastydressagency #myunicornlife

Will be my go-to of choice for earrings, bags and boots this season.

If only these ultra-fierce Christian…

Louboutins, or…

Oh, well!

The search continues…

On the plus side, that means that there will be lots of other shopping expeditions and potential treasures to uncover!

Be still my beating heart! 💓😉😊

3. The Beautiful

When the weather is still on the unpredictable side, the easiest way to update a winter wardrobe for spring is to add sublime seasonal accessories, which need not cost a bomb, like these fabulous fuchsia satin drop earrings! 💗 (Only £3 from Primark! I kid you not!! 💕)

Or these beautifully dainty, tiered necklaces from Arual London and 6th Borough Boutique.

Oh, and Primark has really gone that extra mile with…

These glittering gold drop earrings (just £3, people!), which add a touch of glam to a run of the mill outfit.

Last but by no means least, these beyond beautiful, sparkly, high-heel ankle boots from Primark (just £7… I know!!) will put a definite spring – pun intended – into your step this season.

Just don’t expect to walk too far because…

Pretty though they might be, practical they are not! ☺️

As ever, feel free to let me know your thoughts in the comments section below.

Until next time,

Lots of love and pretty stuff,

💋 Mostly Mum
